Optical elastography is a developong field that relies upon variations in the local mechanical properties of biological tissues as the contrast mechanism for image formation. In this report, we will discuss some of the recent advances in optical elastography techniques developed in our laboratories. Particular attention will be given to practical, clinical measurements that can be made with optical elastography, image processing algorithms, and data presentation.
